A modern core banking system that integrates business partners

Aktia’s investment is driven by changes in customer demand and banking regulations. The bank is targeting annual savings of EUR 5 million from a total investment of EUR 30 million including Emric’s contribution.

“The renewal of our core banking system will give us the flexibility to develop more efficient processes and enables us to launch new products and services across all channels — including branch, phone, internet banking and mobile — much faster than before,” says Magnus Weurlander, Director of Banking Products and Processes at Aktia.

Solutions for the future

Aktia has chosen Temenos T24 core banking and Lending by Emric credit processing as the new system platform.

“Both service providers are market leaders in their respective fields, and cooperation with them enables us to leverage development initiatives from other banks in the Nordic region and globally. Our choice of vendors was based on their proven solutions and ability to respond to the changing needs in banking,” says Weurlander.

Emric is specialised in credit management solutions and focused on the Nordic market. With Emric, Aktia will be able to significantly improve customer service.

“We at Emric are delighted that our loan origination and administration solution has been chosen by Aktia. Cooperation with Aktia is an important step in the growth of our company in Finland and we believe that together we’ll be able to provide the best possible service to bank customers,” says Pedram Tadayon, CEO of Emric.
